While her ex-husband dished the dirt on their five-year marriage in a frank interview with Parade magazine, her current boyfriend kept quiet during his own interview with GQ.

Jennifer Aniston may be left wounded after Brad Pitt made scathing comments that his life with her was 'uninteresting', but it looks like the 42-year-old actress can count on her new beau Justin Theroux to keep his mouth shut when it comes to the intimate details.

In fact, the only reference Justin made to their relationship was a subtle hint that he might have ditched his tufty beard in order to please her.

The actor, 40, had grown the facial hair for his role as a cult leader in upcoming movie Wanderlust.

He appeared to be fond of the new addition and said it had become something of a part of him.

He said: 'You establish all sorts of mannerisms with it. Like when you're bored, you can feather your mustache.'
While he sported it for his photo shoot with the glossy men's magazine, he suggested that his girlfriend might not be such a fan of the look.

When asked how women had responded to his beard, Justin replied vaguely: 'Certain chicks dig it; certain chicks don't.'

And shortly after the interview and photo shoot, Justin took to a razor and got rid of the facial hair.

Jennifer certainly seemed happy with her clean-shaven man as the couple emerged from her New York apartment last night.

The Friends actress sported a brave smile in a bid to shrug of the stinging words that Brad had divulged in his recent interview.

She looked cheerful as the pair headed to the launch of clothing line Hoyle Jackson at Bloomingdale's.

Brad, 47, had told the magazine: 'I spent the '90s trying to hide out, trying to duck the full celebrity cacophony.

'I started to get sick of myself sitting on a couch, holding a joint, hiding out. It started feeling pathetic.

'It became very clear to me that I was intent on trying to find a movie about an interesting life, but I wasn't living an interesting life myself.

'I think that my marriage had something to do with it. Trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn't.'

The insensitive jibes came at a bad time for the actress.
They were published just days after Jennifer rushed to Los Angeles to be by the bedside of her mother Nancy, who had suffered a stroke.
Jennifer had a supportive Justin in tow as she visited her mother in hospital.
