Jennifer Aniston: Giving Up on Fashion for Good?

It's official: Jennifer Aniston has gone to the dark side.
The actress used to at least try to keep her outfits interesting by mixing in a splash of red or white with her mainly black wardrobe during the movie promotion rounds, but not this time. Jen pretty much gave a big ef-you to color when she wore black to every Just Go With It event from L.A. to Berlin.
There were a couple of, um, bright spots in the newly shorn star's fashion tour, however...
VOTE: Angelina Jolie vs. Jennifer Aniston: Fashion Face-Off
Jennifer's Nina Ricci dress with the ruffled shoulder at the Berlin premiere (second from left) and the structured shift with draped hips at the Early Show taping (third from left) were modern, interesting and chic. But the rest of her classic ensembles just fell flat.
At least she won't be mistaken for a Real Housewife—they do wear a lot of splashy clothes.
So where do you stand on Jen's style: Team Black or Team Color? Weigh in below!

Jennifer Aniston ditches ‘housewife’ style

Javascript is needed to use most of these tools:

Jennifer Aniston’s stylist says her new haircut has moved her away from a "housewife" look.
The 42-year-old American actress had sported long layered locks for many years before recently chopping them off and unveiling a chic bob.
The change has given Jennifer an elegant and more mature aesthetic, and the beauty’s hairdresser Chris McMillan has revealed it was time for a change, making reference to an American reality series following the lives of glamorous Beverly Hills housewives.
"I'm loving bobs again. I love the girl in the YSL ads. It's a sexy look. The reason that I'm loving a bob at the moment... There are so many long, layered hairstyles and-don't get me wrong, I love that. But The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills all have that. You know what I mean? And what's the opposite direction you can go in?" Chris told Allure.com.
Many fashionistas had believed Jennifer has reached for the blonde dye too, as her hair has been looking fairer of late. Chris insists her colour hasn’t actually been altered, it has simply been rejuvenated by the fresh new cut.
"It's so funny. This is something that happens all the time: whenever I cut someone's hair, they say, 'My colour looks so much better,'" he mused. "The colour kind of freshens up when you get a drastic haircut."

Nick Swardson’s big-screen pretend time

Just Go With it
Columbia Pictures
Nick Swardson said Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler have great onscreen chemistry in Just Go With It.
Liars never prosper, but sometimes they can be pretty hilarious — on screen, at least. In Adam Sandler's new comedy Just Go With It, the characters become tangled in elaborate lies. As expected, the fibs start out innocently enough, but quickly grow to monstrous proportions.
Sandler stars as Danny, a plastic surgeon who wears a wedding ring when picking up women to ensure no-strings-attached encounters. But his scheme is snagged when he meets Palmer (Brooklyn Decker) and decides he's genuinely interested. He doesn't want to pretend he's married anymore, and that's when the snowball starts rolling.
Danny enlists Katherine (Jennifer Aniston), his personal assistant, to act as his soon-to-be ex-wife. Her kids get roped in too, and even Danny's cousin, played by comedian-actor Nick Swardson (Reno911!, Nick Swardson's Pretend Time).
Swardson said he began working with Sandler after his debut stand-up special for Comedy Central around eight years ago.
"What if I was like, ‘Yeah, I've worked with him for eight years. I hate it," Swardson joked.
His first gig with Sandler was writing for and playing Jeff in Grandma's Boy, a comedy produced by Happy Madison (Sandler's company). It didn't make a dent at the box office but became a cult-like favorite after its DVD release.
"I think [Eddie in Just Go With It is] kind of a hybrid of Jeff and myself. And Meryl Streep," he said.
Swardson said Just Go With It is among his favorite endeavors, and that Aniston's performance is reminder of her comedic prowess.
"I think this is a movie that showcases her really well," he said. "And kind of makes people remember how funny she is, and how talented. I think she's so blown out in the tabloids and they spend so much time making rumors about her [that] the public loses sight of how brilliant she is. She has great comedic timing."
There's a scene where Aniston's character yanks Eddie's tongue, but Swardson said he wasn't hurt during filming.
"The only thing that went wrong is that [Aniston] got a terrible disease on her finger that's incurable," he said.
Swardson's character is willingly wrapped up in the lies, as he pretends to be Katherine's boyfriend, who claims he's an Internet sheepherder. He joked that in real life, he doesn't lie anymore because he "learned his lesson" after pretending to be a fireman when a house was burning down.
"And they were waiting for me to put out the fire, and after like, an hour, the house burned down. And I was like, ‘I'm just kidding. I've never been a fireman.' Then people were really pissed at me," he said.

I'll just go with a new hairdo! Jennifer Aniston tries to upstage Brooklyn Decker

Jennifer Aniston has attempted to steal the spotlight back from her glamorous Just Go With It co-star, Brooklyn Decker.
The 42-year-old has regularly been upstaged in the style stakes by the Sports Illustrated model, 23, while on the promotional trail for their new film.
But the former Friends star ensured all eyes were on her by unveiling a new hairstyle last night during their latest stop in Spain.

Aniston cut her long tresses into a sleek bob ahead of various press duties in Madrid.
She showed off the new do while posing at photocall at the Villamanga Hotel in Madrid with her co-star Adam Sandler.
Later, she slipped into a little black dress before meeting up with Decker, who was wearing in a pretty floral frock, on the red carpet.

It is not the first time Jennifer has cut her hair short.
Not long after she married Brad Pitt back in 2000 she snipped her hair into a similar short style.
Jennifer recently admitted she was perplexed by all the attention her haircut received during her time on Friends.
The Rachel - named after her character in the hit sitcom - remained popular for years even though  the actress only wore the layered style for the first two seasons of the show.

'How do I say this? I think it was the ugliest haircut I've ever seen,' she said in the February issue of US magazine Allure . 'What I really want to know is, how did that thing have legs?'
The cut was originally created by Aniston's long-time hairstylist Chris McMillan, who still works with her today.
'I love Chris but he's the bane of my existence because he started that damn Rachel,' she added.
Jennifer is currently on the European promotional tour for Just Go With It alongside Adam Sandler and Brooklyn Decker.

The film, which also stars Nicole Kidman and Dave Matthews, is about a man who persuades his loyal assistant to pose as his soon to be ex-wife in order to cover up a lie he told his younger girlfriend.
The film, which is already out in the US, is being released across Europe this week.

More Details on Jennifer Aniston’s “Sexy” New Haircut

Jennifer Aniston New Haircut Details from Chis MacMillanJesus Aparicio/BuzzFoto
Jennifer Aniston may no longer be sporting “the Rachel,” but the fascination with her every strand of hair continues. Aniston caused quite a stir this week by chopping her luscious long locks into a sexy bob, so it’s no surprise that the world wants to know all the nitty gritty details of her perfectly cut coif. Aniston’s longtime stylist Chris McMillan shared his method behind the hair change-up with Allure.com. “It was just time for a change,” McMillan said. “We had a blast doing it. And we’ve always liked this haircut. It’s about keeping things simple.” But why a bob? “I’m loving bobs again,” he explained, citing the recent styles featured by fashion houses like YSL and Celine. “It’s a sexy look.” But could it be that the real inspiration also had something to do with reality TV? Just ask McMillan. “The reason that I’m loving a bob at the moment… There are so many long, layered hairstyles and—don’t get me wrong, I love that. But The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills all have that. You know what I mean? And what’s the opposite direction you can go in.” Seems like this sleek and chic bob is pretty far in the right direction to us. Tell us: What do you think of Jennifer Aniston’s new bob?—Kim Peiffer

'She didn't want to look like a Real Housewife': Jennifer Aniston's hairdresser reveals inspiration behind new cut

Jennifer Aniston's new hair cut has received mixed reviews since she unveiled it at the Just Go With It premiere.
It was even debated that she had planned on upstaging her younger co-star Brooklyn Decker.
But the REAL reason behind the new look was revealed by the actress's long-term hairdresser as she arrived back home in Los Angeles last night.
Chris McMillan said his A-list client didn't want to look like an extra from the Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills.

And while some questioned Jennifer's decision to choose a bobbed cut, according to McMillan that was the right choice.

Despite just getting off a long Transatlantic flight the star was in good spirits and even waved to fans who began to crowd around her as she left the terminal.
Jennifer had been on a promotional tour around Europe for her new film Just Go With It, alongside Adam Sandler and Brooklyn Decker.
The tour saw her attend photo-calls and premières in London, Germany and Spain over the past week.
In the film Jennifer plays the loyal assistant of Adam Sandler's character who gets roped into pretending to be his ex-wife after he lied to his much younger girlfriend.
While she was away, it was revealed that Jennifer had listed her Beverly Hills mansion as for sale with a huge listing price of $42 million.
She had purchase the property in 2006 for $13.5 million and spent over two years renovating it but later realized the house was 'too much' for her to handle.

Ashton Kutcher loses Jennifer Aniston date bet

Hollywood actor Ashton Kutcher asked out Jennifer Aniston as part of a bet he had made as a teenager, but was turned down.

The 'What Happens in Vegas' star had even sought permission from Aniston's then husband Brad Pitt in a bid to win the bet he made with a friend in high school, reported Contactmusic.

"So I make a bet with my buddy. I'm probably 17 years old. I said to him, 'I bet you USD 1,000 that some day I will go on a date with Jennifer Aniston.' I'm 17 years old and she's like on my screensaver on my computer and he's like.

'You're on...'," said Kutcher.

The 33-year-old actor had a huge crush on the 'Friends' actress and got the chance to ask her out, only to be disappointed. But Kutcher says he is friends with Aniston now.

"Four or five years later I actually meet Jennifer Aniston and she's married to Brad Pitt at the time. And so I went to Brad Pitt and I asked his permission to ask his wife out on a date.
"I said, 'Listen, I made a bet with my buddy, you're a cool guy, you're gonna let this go down, right?' And he looked at me, he's like, 'You go for it.' And I'm like, 'You're the coolest guy I've ever met in my life!' So I asked her and she turned me down. But now we're friends," said Kutcher.

Jennifer Aniston is the harbinger of a whole new era in spinsterhood

Actress Jennifer Aniston: poster girl for Spinsterhood 2.0.

Photograph by: Andreas Rentz, Getty Images

Used to be that the most famous old maid in the world was a gawky cartoon character who fell hard for a man whose affections were largely devoted to canned spinach. Olive Oyl was a woman of open heart and flapper feet, an awkward eyelash-batting coquette with skinny legs and a tight bun, but try as she might, she never could land her pipe-puffing sailor man, Popeye.
Used to be that old maids were the sad-sack left-behinds, the dried-up shells who drifted on the edges of society while neighbours on street corners whispered about their sad fate, about their lonely days as pale accounting clerks and midi-skirted kindergarten teachers, about their lonely nights behind drawn curtains in quiet apartments, comforted by cats and, sometimes, a favourite niece.
Because in a world where love and marriage are the holy grail of societal harmony and personal fulfilment, there is surely nothing more pitiful than a woman who can't find a man.
But that was before Jennifer Aniston became the poster girl for Spinsterhood 2.0.
In an age when women are chasing careers instead of men, when some marriages last no longer than a butterfly's breath, when the most popular place to meet someone is on a computer screen, it can be no surprise to learn that single women are taking over the world.
Statistics Canada has reported an upward trend in the rise of singles in our country over the past decade or so, a shift that has seen single adults - women mostly - outnumbering married ones in Canadian households for the first time.
It's a sucker punch of reality to the lovelorn heart of the average single woman, and it's one that is shared with our sisters to the south, where recent U.S. Census figures revealed that 51 per cent of adult women in that country were unmarried.
Or put another way, single women now outnumber married women.
Experts also explain, and sometimes blame, the demographic phenomenon as the wreckage from the feminist and sexual revolutions of the 1960s, along with high divorce rates, the huge population bulge of older women not marrying after widowhood or divorce, and a vexing combination of Prince Charming and Peter Pan syndrome, where young women want to marry perfect men and young men want to marry their mothers.
And so we have eHarmony and The Bachelorette and a surfeit of singleton movies such as Knocked Up and No Strings Attached, and relationships referred to as "friends with benefits" and an avalanche of other 21st-century cultural spinoffs owing their existence to this new social anomaly.
And we have Jennifer Aniston, loud and proud in singlehood.
If Aniston, who has beauty, wealth and fame but still no love, is riding the crest of this demographic wave, the millions of women who are surfing anonymously in the shallows are oddly comforted in knowing that she is helping redefine the once-pitied profile of the unmarried woman.
After all, Aniston has been the epitome of the lovely lithe girl next door, from the moment she was beamed into our living rooms as Rachel Green, in 1994, on the sitcom Friends. For 10 fictional years, she chased love all over Manhattan. When the popular show ended, her storyline just kept going.
There was the doomed five-year, baby-less marriage to that other Hollywood work of art, Brad Pitt, who dumped her for hot mama Angelina Jolie and is now scruffy and raising a château full of hellions.
There were the paparazzi-dogged romances with Vince Vaughn, John Mayer and Gerard Butler, the jubilant dates, the sad breakups, the pregnancy speculation, the adoption gossip, all of it chronicled in the tabloids, on TMZ and the cover of People, which just last week reported, in Jen's Most Revealing Interview Ever on Dating, Babies and Exes that the 42-year-old beaming blond with the bikini bod, couture closet and the big bank account is "happy, really."
As if she has to assure the world that it's okay to be in your 40s and not married (something we don't seem to demand from George Clooney), to have been dateless for more than a year, to be content in the company of an Architectural Digest house in Beverly Hills, a yoga mat, and dogs named Norman and Dolly.
If Jennifer Aniston can't seal the deal, maybe that's proof that there really isn't someone for everyone, that love - at least the kind of love that we are programmed to spend our lives looking for - isn't everything.

Jennifer Aniston does Berlin for 'Meine Erfundene Frau’ (photos)

  • February 21st, 2011 5:48 pm ET
Do you, like this writer, wonder just how many sexy black dresses Jennifer Aniston owns?  She broke out two more for the February 21st Berlin Film Festival screening of 'Meine Erfundene Frau’ (translation, 'My Imaginary Wife') – the name adopted for the ‘Just Go With It’ release in Germany.  As mentioned in our ‘Just Go With It’ New York City premiere coverage (where Aniston wore my personal favorite of the three little black dresses we’ve been treated to recently -- see the NYC photos here), the film features popular movie locations Los Angeles and the Hawaiian Islands of Kauai and Maui.
As you can see in the 'Meine Erfundene Frau’ photo call and premiere photos slideshow – samples from both events are included in case you want to compare and contrast the two black dresses Aniston wore in Berlin – co-stars Adam Sandler and Brooklyn Decker were also on hand for the festivities.
Decker’s violet-and-red (dress and shoes) pairing for the Berlin premiere was decidedly more daring, as was the animal print frock she wore in New York City.  While her casual look at the Hotel Adlon photo call was trendy, quite likely her best look – a bikini – is seen in the movie.  She wasn’t a Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue standout for nothing, you know!  You can check that look out in the 'Just Go With It' trailer video.
'Meine Erfundene Frau’ opens in German theaters on February 24, 2011, and we suspect Hawaii will be blessed with an influx of tourists from that country who decide to “just go” there, too, after seeing the film.  U.S. residents who are 21 and over, on the other hand, can enter the HHonors ‘Just Go With It’ Sweepstakes for a chance to win a trip to Hawaii.  Just follow that link any time between now and March 31, 2011.
What are you waiting for?  Just go... now...

Jennifer Aniston has a hair raising moment as she struggles to control her windswept locks in New York

By Daily Mail Reporter
Last updated at 8:35 AM on 21st February 2011

She became famous for her perfect 'Rachel' hairstyle during the heyday of TV series Friends.
But there was nothing particularly well groomed about Jennifer Aniston's long locks as she arrived at New York's JFK airport yesterday.
The 42-year-old actress tried to hold back her long brown hair with her hand as she braved the high New York winds.

Dressed warmly in black jeans, leather jacket  and scarf, the star seemed to find her predicament quite bemusing, smiling and waving before entering the terminal.
The star has been in the city for the premiere of her new Adam Sandler comedy Just Go With It,  and there are rumours she is looking for a new pad in the Big Apple.
‘I am looking for little spots in New York City to go back home. There are all sorts of things that are going to be happening in the near future so I’m excited. I don’t know what they are but that’s the fun part.’

Whispers are growing louder that the divorced star has already successfully put an offer on a $15million duplex penthouse in New York’s West Village.
The apartment, spacious by New York City standards, may be the smaller, more manageable space for the Friends actress at 3,000 square feet.

Jennifer, who is currently single, has put her Beverly Hills home on the market after deciding it was 'too much' for her.
She told People magazine: ‘I couldn’t sleep and I sort of had one of those moments where I really needed to simplify.

Las Ventanas Al Paraiso: The resort where Jennifer, George and Cameron love to stay

By Jessica Barrett
Last updated at 11:00 PM on 20th February 2011
She may have been unlucky in love, but Jennifer Aniston seems extremely fortunate in her choice of favourite holiday destination. Regular students of celebrity magazines could be forgiven for thinking that she hardly ever leaves the fabulous Mexican hideaway of Las Ventanas Al Paraiso. Indeed, she has been known to visit five times in one year.
Jennifer Aniston
Heading south: Jennifer Aniston is a frequent visitor to Las Ventanas Al Paraiso
Our Jen was introduced to the pleasures of Las Ventanas by former husband Brad Pitt (who subsequently revealed its glories to his next partner Angelina Jolie). Jen celebrated her 41st birthday there last February with a star-studded cast including best friend Courteney Cox and rumoured boyfriend at the time (do try to keep up) Gerard Butler.
Then she was back again for Thanksgiving - along with her new best friend, the improbably named Chelsea Handler, who sounds as if she might be Frank Lampard's agent but is actually a stand-up comic and American TV host.
So what exactly is the appeal of Las Ventanas Al Paraiso? Well, when a hotel is named 'Window to Paradise', clearly you can expect an experience rather more substantial than a night at a suburban Holiday Inn. It pays, however, to be suspicious of hotels with fabulous names. In my experience you do best to steer clear of places that call themselves the Hotel Eden or The Heavenly Inn  -  they are usually anything but divine.

'It's just too much for me': Jennifer Aniston puts her sprawling Beverly Hills mansion on the market for a cool $42m

By Amy Webber
Last updated at 2:43 PM on 19th February 2011

Jennifer Aniston’s luxurious Beverly Hills home is officially on the market for $42 million.
The Just Go With It star spent more than two years renovating that 9,000 square foot property after purchasing it in 2006 for $13.5 million.
And just last year Aniston raved about the Zen influenced home, telling Architectural Digest it felt 'like a hug' and 'vibrates with the love that created it.'

Aniston named the property Ohana, in homage to the Hawaiian idea of extended family, and completely overhaulled it with the help of designer Stephen Shadley.
She marked her 40th birthday in 2009 by moving into the new decadent property that includes a Koi pond running through the entrance hall, breathtaking views of Los Angeles and a swimming pool.

CLAIM: Jennifer Aniston is ‘Head Over Heels’ For Adam Sandler

(GettyImages.com)
Jennifer Aniston has fallen head over heels for a new guy, but there’s a major snag – he’s married!” screams a piece in the National Enquirer.
According to so-called insiders for the tab, Aniston became “crazy about” co-star Adam Sandler while filming Just Go With It last year, and now that they’re promoting the film, “her romantic feelings for him have come flooding back.”
“Jen desperately wants a happy home life like Adam’s,” the mag continues, “and she feels as if he’s the total package.”
Check out PHOTOS of Adam out with his family
Although the comedian is happily married to Jackie Titone, the tab claims that Aniston just “can’t help herself.”
Seriously?
No.
A rep for Aniston calls the story is “funny,” but notes the “Friends” star “has known Adam for almost 20 years and has been buddies with him and his wife forever.”
Once again, the Enquirer can’t separate fact from film fiction.

Adam Sandler’s Just Go With It narrowly beat Never Say Never, the Justin Bieber bonanza, by a hair.
Just Go With It, also starring Jennifer Aniston, took in $31 million in its first weekend, just edging out Never Say Never, which earned $30.3 million.
Gnomeo and Juliet grabbed third place with $25.5 million, while The Eagle and The Roommate were a close fourth and fifth with $8.5 million and $8.4 million, respectively.
Rounding out the Top Ten were The King’s Speech ($7.4 million), No Strings Attached ($5.9 million), Sanctum ($5.4 million), True Grit ($3.7 million) and The Green Hornet ($3.6 million).

Jennifer Aniston Lists Eco-Friendly Home For $42 Million

February 19th 2011
It seems there is some truth to recent rumors that starlet Jennifer Aniston is ditching her Beverly Hills home for a swank Manhattan pad. People reports the actress, who souped-up her California home with solar panels and other eco-friendly measures thanks to the inspiration of Julia Roberts, has listed her mansion for a mere $42 million.
Aniston purchased the home five years ago for $13.5 million and started doing renovations right around the time she dated soft-rocker John Mayer in 2008. The actress even gave her sweeping estate a pet name: Ohana, which means “family” in Hawaiian.
Despite spending around $15 million and more than two years on environmentally sound renovations such as solar arrays for her roof, solar-cell-embedded chimney covers, and extensive water-conserving landscaping, the actress would like to wipe the slate clean.

“My life needs to be simplified and [I need to] clear out the clutter. And along with that thought came, ‘I should sell my house,’” the Just Go With It star told People. “I had the realization that this is just too much for me. I’m not this person.”
The lucky buyer of Aniston’s home will be treated to a solar-heating system, drought-resistant plants, all-organic materials, an ocean view, and more.
No word yet as to what sort of favors Aniston will do for the environment when she moves into her new place. However, her proven track record—including saving dolphins with Paul Rudd and Naomi Watts and donating almost as much money to the Haiti earthquake recovery as Leonardo DiCaprio and George Clooney—has us hopeful.

Jennifer Aniston Gets All of the Blame, None of the Credit

Jennifer Aniston at the He's Just Not That Int...

Poor Jennifer Aniston.
She’s still, for some mysterious reason, seen as such a loser that she recently felt compelled to insist to People magazine that she’s not “unhappy,” as people seem to believe. Yes, being gorgeous, rich, uber-successful and considered the country’s most eligible bachelorette must be an incredibly misery-inducing experience.
But then there’s her increasing reputation as box office poison. Put her in a movie, like Management, Love Happens, The Bounty Hunter or The Switch, and watch it tank.
“At what point will Hollywood give up on Jennifer Aniston?” asked ForbesDorothy Pomerantz. After those four stinkers, it was a reasonable question.
Advance reviews of her latest, Just Go With It, co-starring Adam Sandler, drew all-new cries of derision.
“What is it with Jennifer Aniston?” snarked Elizabeth Weitzman in the New York Daily News. “Commitment issues? Low self-esteem? Because there’s got to be a reason she makes so many poor choices. I’m speaking, of course, about her taste in scripts, which is so baffling it’s time to suggest either therapy or a change in management.”
But lo and behold, Just Go With It, despite a mostly withering critical reception, somehow beat out pubescent heartthrob Justin Bieber’s documentary, Never Say Never, with $31 million in box office receipts to Bieber’s $30.3 million. Belieber it.
So now Aniston must look pretty smart right? Wrong.
“Adam has again showed himself to be amazingly adept at understanding what audiences want to see,” Sony worldwide president of distribution Rory Bruer told the Hollywood Reporter, not mentioning Aniston.
Sure, Sandler’s production company, Happy Madison, produced the rom-com, but it’s unlikely anyone goes to see a film for its producer.
“Adam Sandler carried on his string of box office success emerging as top grosser in this week’s box office,” crowed the News Chronicle, also not throwing Aniston a bone.
This is reminiscent of the no-love pundits who declared that Aniston’s major hits, Bruce Almighty and Marley & Me, were the sole work of Jim Carrey and a golden retriever, respectively.
Aniston, whose face and love life has sold a gazillion tabloids and magazines over the past decade, clearly has a following. Why won’t anyone admit it?

There are companies that would pay millions to get an endorsement from Jennifer Aniston. One lucky Honda dealership got it for free.

Aniston was on “The View” last week to promote her latest movie, coincidentally on the same day that The New York Daily News reported that the star has been looking at buy a $15 million penthouse apartment in Greenwich Village. So the show’s hosts asked Aniston about the story—and handed her a copy of the paper, which featured a full-page ad for Paragon Honda, a dealership in Queens. And through that stroke of luck, Paragon Honda got the best kind of product placement it could have asked for: its ad in front of millions of Aniston’s fans.

“Thank god that we went with a full-page ad that day. If we had orchestrated the whole thing, we couldn’t have done it so well,” Brian Benstock, Paragon Honda’s general manager, says

Benstock says it’s too early to tell if Aniston’s inadvertent plug will result in more sales. But, he added, “we have been getting a tremendous amount of calls from industry insiders asking us how we pulled this o

Get the look: Jennifer Aniston

If there’s one A lister who knows how to stay looking fab after 40, it’s former Friends star Jennifer Aniston. The youthful star never puts a foot wrong in the beauty stakes – and now, thanks to our makeup artist to the stars Alice Theobald, you can recreate her effortless, California beach babe style.

null

"This look is all about being fresh-faced and naturally sunkissed and beautiful," says Alice. "As always, prep the skin and make sure it's well moisturised. Any blemishes have to be blitzed for this look – try my favourite concealer, Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage Concealer.

"Then, using EstéeLauder's foundation brush – which I think is one of the best – apply Bella Piere makeup base nice and evenly to match you skintone. Add a nice little shimmer at the tops of the cheekbones using the Nars Copacabana makeup stick." Keep any shine at bay by powdering the face with a sheer powder.

"For perfectly groomed brows remove any strays using tweezers, and strengthen the natural arch of the eyebrows using Mac's brow pencil," advises Alice. "Then, to recreate Jennifer’s eye makeup I’ve chosen to use MAC pigments. Apply Tan from lash to socket, Chocolate Brown in the socket, and then blend. Next, use the Naked shade under the brow and in the corner of the eyes."

To really make you peepers stand out, define the eye by working a dark brown pencil into the lashes, blending outwards with a cotton bud on both top and bottom sets.

"Select a black mascara and wiggle the wand through the lashes to ensure maximum coverage, then, to brighten the eyes, use the medium pencil - in 8H1 - from Illamasqua, which will instantly waken up the eyes," Alice adds.

"Then, move onto the lips. Line them with the Yves St Lauren pencil #17. This can also be used to cover up any lip imperfections – if one side is not quite symmetrical, you can correct that. Then, using a lip brush, use Nars’ Chelsea Girl lip lacquer. This will give extra shine, but it comes in a pot so you do need to apply it using a brush."

For the finishing touches, select a blusher to apply in a circular motion on the apples of the cheeks – "This will ensure no harsh lines and will look more natural," she says – then dust some terracotta bronzing powder over the areas where the sun naturally catches your skin – the forehead, nose and décolletage."

Brooklyn Decker's husband has a crush on Jennifer Aniston.
The former swimsuit model revealed Andy Roddick, 28, loves older women and her Just Go With It co-star Aniston is at the top of his list.
"He absolutely loves Jen Aniston, Diane Lane, Faith Hill and Christie Brinkley," she revealed.
However Roddick is not the only member of his family who admires the 42-year-old actress, Decker enjoyed working with Jennifer so much she admitted she prefers her to their co-star Nicole Kidman.
When asked to choose between them, Decker said: "I love them both so much, I'm going to say Jen' because she and I spent a few months together whereas Nicole and I only spent a few weeks together."
Decker, 23, also revealed she loves hairy chests and, despite her modelling background, she prefers to spend most of her time in sweats.
Asked if she prefers sex or sleep, she told Us Weekly magazine: "Oh my god, my husband will kill me if I don't say sex. I like a hairy chest, I think that's really sexy. I'm not naked a lot oddly enough but I usually wear sweats, it's very unsexy."
